Official Launch of Palmex India at the Food Hospitality World Trade-Show in Mumbai
Canadian Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner, Mark Scullion, Director A.I of the Quebec Government office in Mumbai, Mitali Bandekar, and CEO of Arsha Consulting, Renato Cudicio, formally inaugurated the ‘Made in Canada’ Palmex stand at the Food Hospitality World Trade Show in Mumbai yesterday.
Set against a backdrop of a sunny beachside resort (Palmex’s latest project in the Maldives) the unique stand made of Spruce-Pine-Fir wood sourced from British-Columbia and sponsored by Canadian Wood, is covered with Aloha and Rio synthetic palm leaves, made of 100% recyclable High Density polyethylene with UV protection. The LEED certified Palmex leaves are an eco-friendly cost-effective solution for resorts and hotels looking for a durable, maintenance-free solution to natural thatch leaves.
Senior Trade Commissioner, Mark Scullion said, “The launch of Palmex International in India is a great example of the success story of a small Canadian manufacturing company doing business in a foreign market and is exactly the kind of project the Canadian Consulate in India wishes to encourage.”
Mitali Bandekar, Director A.I. Quebec Government Office elaborated, “Companies in Quebec are hesitant to do business in India, but as the story of Palmex shows, with our support and the support of companies like Arsha Consulting, everything is possible!”
Palmex has been scouting for a partner in India since September 2015 and accorded an exclusive distributorship to Arsha Consulting in October 2015.
CEO of Arsha Consulting Renato Cudicio concluded that “With the launch of Palmex in India, we are targeting the hotel and construction industry who are looking for a quality product to get rid of the numerous problems and recurring costs of natural thatch. The solution to these problems comes from Canada and it is the Palmex synthetic leaves. We’re convinced that Palmex, as the world’s leading manufacturer of synthetic leaves, will have the same success in India as in the 52 other countries it is currently present in.”
